Kupang City PUPR Head OTT Case Up To Investigation

KUPANG - The High Prosecutor's Office of East Nusa Tenggara Province stated that the status of the case of a hand arrest operation (OTT) against the Head of the Kupang City Public Works Public Housing (PUPR) Office, BHN, had been upgraded from an investigation to an investigation.

"The OTT case has been upgraded from an investigation to an investigation after it was supported by a number of quite strong evidences," said the head of the Legal Information and Public Relations Section of the NTT High Prosecutor's Office, Abdul Hakim in Kupang, as reported by Antara, Tuesday, May 10.

Abdul Hakim said that this was related to the legal process for the OTT case against the Head of PUPR Kupang by investigators from the NTT Prosecutor's Office some time ago.

The OTT case which dragged the BHN Head of PUPR to the Kupang City Government has been raised from an investigation to the investigation stage after the case has been carried out.

According to him, investigators from the NTT Prosecutor's Office found sufficient preliminary evidence and the existence of elements of a criminal act as evidenced by the presence of Rp15 million in cash that was confiscated during the OTT.

He said that although the status of the BHN case had been upgraded to an investigation, no one had been named a suspect.

"There are definitely potential suspects, but because the prosecutor's investigators still need additional information from several witnesses who are aware of the transaction process for the bribery act," said Abdul Hakim.

There are 10 witnesses who have been questioned by the NTT Prosecutor's Office investigator in the OTT case of the Head of PUPR Kupang City

According to him, in the OTT case, of course, it is not only the recipient who is a potential suspect, but the party giving the bribe can also be made a suspect.
