AP II Prepares Terminal 1B Of Soekarno-Hatta Airport In The Event Of An Increase In Lebaran Backflow
JAKARTA - PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) or AP II is preparing Terminal 1B of Soekarno-Hatta Airport to operate if there is a significant increase in backflow passengers for Eid 2022 which is likely to occur on May 7-9.
"Terminal 1 which has just started operating is indeed 1A, but to anticipate an increase in backflow, we have prepared reserves in Terminal 1B," said the Coordinator of the Lebaran Command Post at Terminal 1 of Soetta Miftahul Ulum Airport as reported by Antara, Wednesday, May 4.
According to him, currently Terminal 1A is already increasingly crowded with passengers who will depart using various airlines.
Previously, the operation of Terminal 1 was temporarily suspended during the pandemic, but along with the increasing number of passengers at Soetta Airport, especially during Eid in 2022, Terminal 1 was operated again even though it was only Terminal 1A.
Meanwhile, Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 are already filled with passengers during Eid.
Thus, Miftahul emphasized that AP II as the manager will prepare Soetta Airport as well as possible in welcoming the peak of the return flow of Eid 2022 starting today.
"Even though today is still a bit sloping, we have prepared it," he said
Based on Antara's monitoring at 10.00-12.00 WIB, the movement of passengers in the departure area of Terminal 1A is still quite sloping.
Meanwhile, Terminal 2 at 13.00-14.00 WIB is quite crowded, especially in the arrivals area.
AP II data noted that between 00.00 and 10.00 WIB, there were 303 flights at Soetta Airport, including 204 departure flights and 99 arrival flights.
The most departure flights occurred at 06.00 WIB, namely 38 flights, while the most arrival flights occurred at 09.00 WIB and 10.00 WIB with 27 arrivals respectively.
