Twitter Tests Circle Feature, Users Tweet Only For Close Friends

JAKARTA - Twitter has reportedly tested a feature called "Circle" which allows users to tweet only to their closest followers with a maximum number of 150 people.

You could say the "Circle" feature is similar to the Instagram feature, namely "Close Friends".

Reported by GSM Arena via Antara, Wednesday, May 4, Twitter uploaded on its help center page and explained all about Circle.

According to them, this is not the same as the Twitter Community and is different from a protected account.

Only users who activate this feature can see the complete list of users in your Circle.

This means you can choose 150 friends to be your "closest circle" on twitter.

However, twitter still allows people in your "Circle" to take screenshots.

Finally, if you are added to a "Circle", then just like when you were added to "Close Friends" Instagram you will not be able to get out of it.

If you feel disturbed, then you can turn off the unwanted conversation.

Twitter has only tested this feature with a few users globally.

To see if you can try this test version, you'll see an option to create a "Circle" when tweeting either in the Android, iOS, or Twitter.com versions of the app.

Anyone can be part of the "Circle", even those you don't follow.

Only those in "Circle" can view, reply to and read replies to your Tweets as they are uploaded to "Circle".
