Vice President Ma'ruf Amin Conveys Happy Eid Al-Fitr 1443 Hijri, Sorry To Be Born And Inner

JAKARTA - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin conveyed a Happy Eid Al-Fitr 1 Syawal 1443 Hijri and advised the public to maintain health protocols.

"Happy Eid Al-Fitr 1443 Hijriah with your beloved family and relatives, sorry to be born and inner heart," said Vice President Ma'ruf Amin via video, Antara, Sunday, May 1.

The vice president said that this Eid was special because it was celebrated with family in his hometown after two years of having to be limited due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Alhamdulillah, our efforts and prayers to control the spread of COVID-19 are permitted by Allah SWT so that this year the Indonesian people can return to their hometowns, celebrating Eid in their hometowns, which of course have been greatly missed," said the vice president.

However, the Vice President appealed to the public to continue to implement strict health protocols.

"I urge the happiness of staying in touch with relatives and still being accompanied by the implementation of strict health protocols to avoid a spike in COVID-19 cases after the 2022 Eid al-Fitr," said the Vice President.

Not to forget, the Vice President conveyed a number of Eid al-Fitr 1443 Hijri messages to the public.

"For a full month we enjoy the beauty of the month of Ramadan by fasting and multiplying other worship, practicing self-control to fight our passions and honing our care for others in the framework of ukhuwah Islamiyah, ukhuwah wathaniyah, and ukhuwah insaniyah," added Vice President Ma'ruf.

All of these practices, according to the Vice President, God willing, will become provisions for us to strengthen our faith and piety to Allah SWT.

"And return our souls to a fitrah soul, a clean soul like a newborn baby," said the Vice President.

Minister of Religion Yaqut Cholil Qoumas has announced that Eid Al-Fitr or 1 Shawwal 1443 Hijri will fall on Monday 2 May 2022.

This was based on two things, namely from the presentation of the Ministry of Religion's Hijri Calendar Unification Team who said that the height of the new moon throughout Indonesia was at a position of 4 degrees 0.59 minutes to 5 degrees 33.57 minutes.

In addition, the geocentric elongation parameter ranges from 5.2 degrees to 7.2 degrees. Meanwhile, the topocentric elongation range is in the range of 4.9 degrees to 6.4 degrees.

The reckoning information has been confirmed by reports from a number of officials from the Ministry of Religion in the regions who are stationed at 99 rukyat points, in 34 provinces throughout the country.
