West Java Regional Police Urges Travelers Not To Linger In Rest Areas
BANDUNG - The West Java Regional Police appealed to travelers, especially those using toll roads, not to linger in rest areas or rest areas during the 2022 Eid homecoming flow.
The Head of Public Relations of the West Java Police, Commissioner Ibrahim Tompo, said that the resting place has a certain capacity limit. So if the homecomers are already crowded, the visitors to the resting place will be too crowded.
"Indeed, we urge that the time is as short as possible, 30 minutes," he said, in Bandung, West Java, as reported by Antara, Thursday, April 28.
According to him, visitors can use short rest periods at rest areas so that other travelers can also use the facility to rest. Even so, the police still urge travelers to rest immediately if they feel tired or sleepy while traveling. "Indeed, there are no rules regarding the time, but it is hoped that people can manage their time as efficiently as possible," he said.
In addition to resting places on toll roads, according to him, all police security posts in Operation Ketupat Lebaran 2022 which are located on arterial routes, can be used as resting places. One of them is at the Cileunyi Integrated Post which is not far from the exit gate of the Cileunyi toll gate, Bandung Regency, West Java. . The homecoming security post provides a number of facilities, ranging from resting areas, free snacks, to children's play areas.
