South Sulawesi Governor Gives IDR 5 Billion Incentive For 4,000 Koran Teachers
MAKASSAR - Governor of South Sulawesi Andi Sudirman Sulaiman handed over intensive assistance for reciting teachers of Rp. 5 billion for 4,000 people in 24 regencies/cities throughout South Sulawesi in 2022.
The incentives were given through the Indonesian Mosque Youth Communication Agency (BKPRMI) South Sulawesi.
"On this occasion we provide assistance to Koran teachers, we give to BKPRMI around Rp 5 billion. Hopefully this incentive can be immediately given appropriately to those who have been teaching independently," said Andi Sudirman in Makassar, Wednesday.
This year's incentives are somewhat larger, because previously incentives were given Rp3 billion for 2,500 Koran teachers. It is hoped that next year will target more and more teachers of the Koran up to 10,000 teachers.
This Incentive Assistance is expected to increase the enthusiasm of the Koran teachers to teach children to know and love the Qur'an.
The Chairperson of the South Sulawesi BKPRMI DPW Hasid Hasan Palogai expressed his gratitude to the governor and the South Sulawesi DPRD for the incentive policy.
He emphasized that this incentive will be received by the Koran teacher before Eid.
"God willing, before Eid Al-Fitr, all Koran teachers who receive the incentive assistance will receive it in its entirety. Our team has gone to the regions to distribute this," he said.
BKPRMI supports the provincial government's efforts to increase the number of recipients of the Koran teacher incentive.
"Hopefully our region is blessed by Allah SWT so that our regional financial budget allows for that. Indeed, it is the hope of our Koran teachers so that they can get attention," he said.
