Sumedang Police Personnel Standby At Night Anticipating A Rise Of Homecomers At Toll Exit

SUMEDANG - The Sumedang Resort Police deployed a number of personnel to be on standby at night as a measure to anticipate the surge in the flow of vehicles going back and forth at the exit gate of the Pamulihan Toll Road, Sumedang Regency, West Java.

Sumedang Police Chief AKBP Eko Prasetyo Robbyanto said that currently the condition of the flow of vehicles on the Cisumdawu Toll Road is in normal condition, but on the Cikampek Toll Road there has been an increase in the flow of vehicles.

"Monitoring results are still normal for the flow of vehicles at the Pamulihan toll exit, but we anticipate based on media reports that today in the afternoon there will be a 20 percent increase in the flow of the Cikampek toll road," said Eko, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, April 26.

Eko said a number of Sumedang Police personnel were already on standby at all security posts on the main road.

Especially on Tuesday night's security, he said, the Sumedang Police had alerted personnel to anticipate a surge in the flow of vehicles leaving the Pamulihan toll gate.

"It is feared that a group of travelers from Jakarta will arrive in Sumedang at night, so members are alerted at the exit gate of the Pamulihan Toll Road," he said.

Currently there is a landslide on the road in the Cigendel pine forest area which is quite disturbing the flow of vehicle traffic in the area.

If there is a surge in the flow of vehicles leaving the Pamulihan toll gate, he said, there is a possibility of overcrowding in the Cadas Pangeran area as the main Bandung-Sumedang road.

"It is feared that there will be overcrowding in Cadas Pangeran, while at night we cannot recommend the use of Sections 2 and 3 of the Cisumdawu toll road," he said.
