Workers In Palembang Are Happy To Receive Basic Food Assistance From The National Police Chief, General Sigit
PALEMBANG - Hundreds of workers in the city of Palembang, South Sumatra received packages containing a number of basic needs or basic necessities from the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
The handing over of the aid was symbolically handed over by the South Sumatran Regional Police Chief Inspector General Tony Harmanto to a number of workers witnessed by the Secretary-General of the South Sumatran All-Indonesian Trade Union Confederation (KSPSI) Hermanto Akhmad and the Chairperson of the Palembang KSPSI DPD Arip Nyani, at the Regional Police Headquarters, Palembang, Thursday, April 21.
On that occasion, the Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Tony said the assistance was a form of the leadership's concern for the workers in this area.
The assistance is expected to be useful for workers and their families to meet their needs during the fasting month of Ramadan and to welcome Eid Al-Fitr 1443 Hijri which is expected to fall on May 2, 2022.
In addition, it is also hoped that it can strengthen the friendship between the South Sumatra Regional Police with workers and labor organization management that has been very well established so far.
"We thank the workers and the administrators of the Confederation of All Indonesian Trade Unions (KSPSI) for their work in helping to bridge government policies related to issues concerning workers," said the Police Chief as reported by Antara.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Palembang KSPSI DPD Arip Nyani said that his party was grateful to the leadership of the National Police for paying attention to the workers in this area.
The good relationship that has existed so far will continue to be maintained and his party is ready to support the South Sumatra Police and its ranks in maintaining the conditions of security and public order so that it remains conducive, said the management of the labor organization.
