Special Detachment 88 Names 7 West Java Terrorists Network Of Jamaah Islamiyah
JAKARTA - Special Detachment 88 Anti-terror revealed that seven terrorist suspects arrested in the West Java region belonged to the Jamaah Islamiyah (JI) network. The disclosure of their terrorist network was based on the results of an intensive examination.
"Seven were arrested, from the JI group", said Head of the Operations Section of Special Detachment 88 Anti-terror, Commissioner Aswin Siregar when confirmed, Wednesday, April 20.
Although their network has been revealed, the role of each of the terrorist suspects has not been disclosed. Therefore, an in-depth examination is being carried out.
"Later, yes. It is being prepared", said Aswin.
Special Detachment 88 Anti-terror arrested 7 terrorist suspects in Cirebon, Bogor, Bandung, and Garut. The arrests took place on Sunday, April 17.

The suspected terrorist who was arrested in the city of Bandung is known to be a resident who lives in the Cisaranten Kulon area, Arcamanik District. The head of the local RW (Citizens Association), Sodikin, admitted to being a witness in the search for the house of the suspected terrorist with the initials A in the Arcamanik area.
According to Sodikin, the search was carried out on Sunday night at around 22.00 WIB. But previously, he said, the suspected terrorist A had been arrested elsewhere by Special Detachment 88. From the search carried out, Sodikin said Detachment 88 officers had secured several items such as documents, cellphones, books, and a samurai.
"He said, this terrorist was wanted two years ago, only now he was arrested", said Sodikin.
