Coal Prices Continue To Soar, Batulicin Nusantara Hopes It Can Boost The National Economy
JAKARTA - The increase in world coal prices is considered an opportunity to encourage the rise of the domestic economy. Previously, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) decided that the Reference Coal Price (HBA) for April 2022, rose 41.5 percent or to 288.40 US dollars per tonne from March which was only 203.69 US dollars per ton.
In response to this, Director of PT Batulicin Nusantara Maritim Tbk (BESS) Yuliana, said that the soaring price of coal in April 2022 affected the recovery of the national economy which began to adapt after the Covid-19 pandemic.
“By skyrocketing coal prices, BNM hopes that this will be one of the factors that will boost the recovery of the national economy. Even with the skyrocketing coal price, BNM was not significantly affected. Because we continue to serve deliveries according to the scheduled delivery schedule," said Yuliana in her statement, Tuesday, April 19.
