Watch Out! Tourist Buses That Use Routes To Transport Homecomers Will Be Subjected To Sanctions

JAKARTA - Head of Lebak Bulus Terminal, Hernanto, said that his party would coordinate with the South Jakarta Sub-Department regarding the imposition of sanctions on tourism buses that take advantage of the homecoming situation by using their routes for transportation.

"Later, the South Jakarta (transportation) sub-department will also coordinate for follow-up, if it is needed, it will be grounded (the bus)", Hernanto said when met at the Lebak Bulus Terminal, South Jakarta, Monday, April 18.

"So indeed for the route, we are passing through it, it's a route from the rambutan village and also the chili hut. Outside of that, such as tourism or other transportation, we will not tolerate it", he continued.

On that occasion, Hernanto said that his party continues to conduct outreach to the community. The goal is for land transportation users to continue to use official bus routes.

"We have socialization from a long time ago, those who can operate are those with official routes", he said.

Previously it was reported that the Lebak Bulus Terminal, South Jakarta will hold a Ramp-Check or a feasibility check for the Inter-City Inter-Provincial Bus (AKAP). This is done in order to avoid accidents when going back and forth later.

Head of the Lebak Bulus bus terminal, Hermanto, said that his party would conduct a ramp-check starting from April 25 to May 10.

"We together with PKB (motor vehicle examiner) Jagakarsa will hold fleet and bus driver inspections starting on D-7 Eid", Hermanto said when met at the Lebak Bulus Terminal, South Jakarta, Monday, April 18.
