Bantul Prosecutor's Office Receives Evidence Of Illegal Drug Manufacturers In The Form Of IDR 23 Billion
BANTUL - The District Attorney's Office of Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta, received the submission of evidence from the development of an unlicensed or illegal drug factory case in Kasihan from the Attorney General's Office in the form of cash worth more than IDR 23 billion.
"That today, Monday, April 18, 2022, the Bantul District Attorney's Office has received the submission of the second phase of the case for violating the Health Law", said Head of the Bantul District Attorney's Office, Suwandi as reported by Antara, Monday, April 18.
He said the evidence was in the form of IDR 2.73 billion in rupiah cash and two million Singapore dollars in cash, or IDR 21 billion in cash.
"This is the development of a case that we have heard regarding a drug factory that does not have a permit in the Kasihan District, Bantul, which was revealed in September 2021", he added.
About the development of the illegal drug case, he continued, the Directorate of Narcotics at the Attorney General's Office has stated that the case file is complete so that the suspect and evidence have been handed over to the Bantul District Attorney's Office.
"In total, there are approximately 31 kinds of evidence, including IDR 2.734 billion in cash, the other in the form of two million Singapore dollars. This consists of four case files which have been handed over to the Bantul District Attorney's Office today and will We will immediately try it at the Bantul District Court", he explained.
The money was the result of the confiscation of the suspects in the illegal factory case which was revealed by investigators from the Criminal Investigation Unit at the National Police Headquarters in September last year.
"What is the proceeds from the sale, we don't know yet because there has not been a trial; but what is clear is that there is a connection with the case of an unlicensed drug factory in Kasihan", he said.

He said that for the time being the evidence in the case of the unlicensed drug factory would be deposited at the Bank BRI Bantul Branch until there was a court decision.
"We will entrust it to the Bank BRI Bantul Branch during the trial. After the decision is made, we will carry out the decision according to the court's decision", he said.
