COVID-19 Update As Of April 17: Only 607 New Cases, 2.782 Recovered Patients
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 103.057 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 607 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulated positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia reached 6,039,873 people and active cases fell by 2.190 to 58.278 cases," said Ministry of Health data, Sunday, April 17.
Today's recovered cases have increased by 2.782 people, bringing the total to 5.825.729 recovered. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 22 cases and a total of 155.866 people.
The province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 195 cases and a total of 1.245.653 cases. Followed by West Java which has 114 new cases with a total of 1.104.077 cases. East Java has 55 new cases and a total of 575.038 cases. Banten has 49 new cases and a total of 291.757 cases.
Banten has the most recovered cases today, with an additional 773 recovered cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with an additional 456 recovered cases, West Java with an additional 385 recovered cases, and DI Yogyakarta with an additional 335 recovered cases.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 1.25 percent," he wrote.
The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, was recorded at 2.560 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
Furthermore, there are currently 198.191.838 people who have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 162.750.057 the second dose of vaccination. Then, the third dose of vaccination was 30.947.385. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208.265.720 people.
