Praise The Performance Of RB Leipzig Players, Tedesco: Everyone Did A Fantastic Job

JAKARTA - RB Leipzig coach Domenico Tedesco praised his team's performance in securing a ticket to the semifinals of the Europa League. The German club beat Atalanta with a score of 2-0 in the second leg of the quarter-finals at Gewiss Stadium, Bergamo, Thursday night local time.

Quoted by Antara from the club's official website, Friday, Tedesco said each of his players had carried out their respective duties well to secure the victory.

"I think you can see what Atalanta can do. They are amazing physically, they attack and push deeper," said Tedesco.

"To keep them like we did was very strong. I don't want to pick anyone. Everyone did a fantastic job."

The Italian-born coach continued that he was happy that RB Leipzig were able to pass the difficult test against Atalanta and said in that match they already knew what kind of team they would face.

Tedesco explained that one of the keys to his team's success over Atalanta was not playing too deep and taking advantage of the space they had.

"It was a good performance defensively and we created chances on the counter-attack. I am proud of my team. I feel tired now! This is a great story for Leipzig and I think we deserved it for 180 minutes of the game," said Tedesco.

"I want to commend the Atalanta fans, because even after the final whistle, they continued to celebrate their team's performance. It makes football more entertaining for everyone when there is such an atmosphere."

The win sealed RB Leipzig's run to the Europa League semi-finals and they will face a challenge from Scotland's Rangers who thrashed Braga 3-2 on aggregate.
