AC Cable Shorted, Noodle Storage Warehouse In Tanjung Duren Burns Out
JAKARTA - A house that was used as a warehouse for storing chicken noodles on Jalan Delima V, Tanjung Duren Selatan Village, West Jakarta, was burned to the ground, Wednesday, April 13, evening.
"We received a fire report at around 22:40 that there was a house fire on Jalan Delima V, Tanjung Duren Selatan. We dispatched 6 fire trucks to the location to extinguish the fire," said Head of the Ops Section of the West Jakarta Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-dept., Sjukri Bahanan told reporters, Thursday, April 14.
A fire engine with 30 personnel arrived at the location at around 22:44 WIB. The blackout process started at 22:45 WIB. The fire was quickly cooled by officers at 22:45 WIB.
"The fire suppression operation was completed at 23.00 WIB with the status of the fire being green (totally extinguished)," he said.
From temporary suspicion, the fire was triggered by an electrical short in the indoor air conditioner in the house. While the area that was burned was 9 meters with a loss of millions of rupiah.
"There were no casualties. The house is also not inhabited, only as a storage warehouse belonging to Mrs. Sutikno (62), "he said.
After extinguishing the fire, the firefighters conducted data collection at the location of the fire.
