MAGELANG- The Magelang Police Satreskrim revealed an abortion case that was allegedly carried out by a class IX junior high school student in Magelang. In addition to having an abortion, the 15-year-old child who is in conflict with the law (ABH), is suspected of committing violence against a baby who has been born until it dies.

Magelang Police Chief AKBP Mochammad Sajarod Zakun said the case was revealed on Saturday, December 18, when the Magelang Police Criminal Investigation Unit PPA Unit received information from the Muntilan Hospital that there was a patient at the hospital suspected of having had an abortion.

"After checking with the ABH (suspected perpetrator), initial information was obtained that this ABH was known to have had an abortion on December 10, 2021, at his grandfather's house by taking drugs purchased online," he said at the Magelang Police Headquarters, Wednesday, April 13.

Based on the investigation and development carried out, to have an abortion, the alleged perpetrator had previously done it by drinking herbal medicine for menstruation. However, he continued, his stomach was getting bigger, so ABH finally bought a menstrual-stimulating drug using money from his girlfriend PE for Rp. 400 thousand.

"Finally, on December 11, 2021 at around 05.30 WIB, the baby was born alive at his grandmother's house, but was left alone by the suspect. Five minutes later the baby was not moving," he said.

The suspect then wrapped the baby in a cloth and put it in the Kuwali and asked his grandmother to help bury the Kuwali.

"ABH admitted to his grandmother that the contents in the kuwali were clotted menstrual blood," said the Police Chief.

On December 17, 2021, the suspect experienced complaints of not being able to defecate and caught a cold and his parents were taken to the Muntilan Hospital. It was found that the suspect had had an abortion. Officers then conducted a crime scene investigation and dug up the baby's grave and conducted an autopsy.

"The results of the autopsy show that the baby was born alive and is old, female, has signs of suffocation, and has blunt force trauma to the baby's face, presumably due to cupping from the ABH (suspected)," explained the Police Chief.

Meanwhile, Kasatreskrim Magelang Police AKP Muhammad Alfan Amin explained that the alleged perpetrator had previously had relations with his girlfriend PE (22), a resident of Magelang, twice.

"From their confession, they have had a relationship like husband and wife twice. They carried out the forbidden relationship at a hotel in the Kopeng area, and at PE's house,” he explained.

A number of items of evidence that were secured include the suspect's clothes, PE suspect's clothes, 1 bed sheet, 1 blanket, 1 scarf, torn mukena, 1 strip of bleedstop brand of medicine, 2 strips of used Cytotec Misoprostol 200 mg, 2 pregnancy test kits. , 3 packs of pregnancy test kits, 1 kuwali and 3 packs of sanitary napkins.

"For ABH, although no detention is carried out, the legal process is still carried out. He was charged with Article 80 paragraph (3) and paragraph (4) of Law no. 35 of 2014 concerning Amendments to the Child Protection Law, namely committing violence against children to the point of death with a maximum prison sentence of 15 years," he explained.

"Then for the PE suspect, he is determined as a suspect in the alleged crime of sexual intercourse or sexual abuse of a child with the suspicion of Article 81 paragraph (2) or Article 82 paragraph (1) of Law no. 17 of 2016 concerning the stipulation of the Perpu on the Second Amendment to the Child Protection Law, which carries a maximum prison sentence of 15 years,” said Alfan.

Meanwhile, the suspect PE admitted that he was sorry. The reason PE is not willing to take responsibility for ABH is because he will marry another woman.
