Underwear Queen Ebanie Bridges Has New Rival In The Ring, Danish Unbeaten Boxer Dina Thorslund

JAKARTA - Ebanie Bridges must be careful, there are other boxers who claim to be worthy of being nicknamed the Blonde Bomber.

Bridges is probably the original Blonde Bomber and - for many - the best. However, Denmark's Dina Thorslund challenged her and said she could dethrone the undergarment-loving Australian woman from her nickname Blonde Bomber.

Bridges, 35, becomes the IBF bantamweight title holder after beating Maria Cecilia Roman in her hometown of Leeds last month.

The Aussie boxer has many choices of opponents for the next fight where a rematch against Shannon Courtenay is the most potential. There's also the prospect of a unification fight against Yulihan Luna or Jamie Mitchell.

But now WBO champion Thorslund has put his name into the ring in dramatic fashion.

"It will be great against Ebanie but the result will not surprise people because I will win because I am better than him," Thorslund told Boxing Scene quoted Wednesday, April 13.

"But it's going to be a great fight and the pack can be a lot of fun with two Blonde Bombers!

"I believe I am the strongest fighter in the bantamweight division and with the right preparation, I can win all the belts and unite the division," he added.

"That is my goal and to get to this point in my career has been a long time coming, especially without a promoter for so long, but with Probellum backing me I hope we can make a massive fight for women's boxing."

WBO bantamweight champion Thorslund certainly deserves to be taken seriously. The 28-year-old blonde from Copenhagen has an 18-0 record as a professional and defended his super bantamweight three times before switching to bantamweight in 2021.

He claimed the belt for the first time with a landslide victory over Jasseth Noriega in June last year. And she defended it by defeating Mexican veteran Zulina Munos by seventh-round knockout in November.

Thorslund defended his belt for the second time last week as he overcame Venezuelan challenger Niorkis Carreno 99-91, 99-91 and 100-90.

Now he's targeting Bridges or one of the other bantamweight champions, the aforementioned duo Mitchell and Luna or interim WBC belt holder Jessica Gonzalez.
