Starting Today, MRT Jakarta Extends Operation Until 22.30 p.m.

JAKARTA - PT MRT Jakarta made changes to the operating hours of the train starting today. This adjustment to the operation schedule is a follow-up to the Level 2 Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) in DKI Jakarta which is set by the government.

PT MRT Jakarta Corporate Secretary Division Head Rendi Alhial said, starting today, MRT operating hours will be until 22.30 p.m. Previously, MRT Jakarta operated until 21.30 p.m.

"Operational hours are Monday-Friday (working days) from 05.00 a.m. to 22.30 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday (weekends) or holidays from 06.00 a.m. to 22.30 p.m.," said Rendi in his statement, Friday, April 8.

The departure time between trains or headways is every 5 minutes during peak hours and 10 minutes outside peak hours on weekdays. While the headway on weekends or holidays is every 10 minutes flat.

Rendi continued, during the month of Ramadan, MRT Jakarta implements a policy to allow passengers to cancel their fast while inside Ratangan as well as paid areas at stations.

However, passengers can only break their fast with mineral water and dates with a maximum time of 10 minutes from the Maghrib adhan.

"This policy was made to always maintain the comfort of all MRT Jakarta users," said Rendi.

In addition, while in the station area and Ratangga, service users are required to follow the applicable rules, including the implementation of health protocols related to preventing the spread of the COVID-19 virus, such as wearing masks, and always maintaining hand hygiene by washing with soap, not talking. either one-way or two-way while in the carriage.
