Police Arrest Fired Soldiers Breaking Cellphone Outlets
SEMARANG - Police have arrested a fired Indonesian military officer who broke into an outlet selling cell phones on Jalan Sriwijaya, Semarang City, Central Java.
Wakapolrestabes Semarang AKBP IGA Dwi Perbawa said the suspect BRP (27) a resident of Tapos, Depok City, entered the cell phone sales outlet that occupied a shophouse by prying out a 2nd floor window.
In his action, the dismissal of the TNI who had served in Bandung took away four Iphone brand phones and a portable computer.
"The cell phone that the perpetrator took is a phone that is under repair," he said, as quoted by Antara, Thursday, April 7.
In its development, he continued, the perpetrators were also known to have broken into a cell phone sales outlet not far from the scene of the first incident.
"There is a second location with a separate police report," he said.
The perpetrator admitted that he was desperate to break into the mobile phone seller's outlet because he was pressed for economic needs.
For his actions, the suspect was charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code regarding theft.
