Recidivist In Bali Gets Arrested Again For Stealing 100 Kg Of Chili In Kintamani Farmers' Farm
BANGLI - The Kintamani Police Team, Bangli, Bali arrested Ketut Karyaadinata alias Ben who stole 100 kilograms of chili from a farmer's garden in Bayung Gede Village.
"The perpetrator was secured with evidence in the form of a motorbike, IDR 200.000 in cash and the remaining large red chilies that had not been sold yet," said Kintamani Police Chief Commissioner Benyamin Nikijuluw, Thursday, April 7.
The perpetrator is known to be a recidivist of vacant house theft in 2018. The perpetrator took action again and stole farmer's chilies.
"The motive is because of the economic squeeze," said Benjamin.
The theft was discovered because the complainant suspected that there was a motorbike parked in the farmer's garden. At night, there was the sound of the perpetrator picking chilies. At that time the perpetrator fled when approached.
"After looking for the perpetrator, there was no one. When the victim returned to find a suspicious motorbike, the victim lost 100 kilograms of chili with a loss of approximately IDR 3 million," said Benjamin.

The perpetrator is also known to have stolen chilies from another farmer's garden on Monday, March 7. There were tens of kilograms of chili taken by the perpetrators.
From this report, the police arrested the perpetrator. The perpetrator admitted to stealing chili in two places in Kintamani, Bali.
"The person concerned is charged with the theft of Article 362 of the Criminal Code, with a maximum penalty of 5 years in prison," he said.
