Considering To Make Biopics Like King Richard, Hamilton: I Think There's A Story To Tell
JAKARTA - Lewis Hamilton admits he is open if his life story is adapted to the big screen similar to King Richard, a film inspired by the biography of Richard Williams, the father of two talented tennis players Venus and Serena Williams.
The seven-times British F1 champion is currently producing a documentary about his life and career, but is also open to offers of feature films.
"We have a documentary we're working on and I think you have to do everything at the right time," Hamilton said ahead of this weekend's Australian Grand Prix, cited from Antara from AFP, Thursday, April 7.
"Documentaries are the focus right now. I think there's a story to tell. I think it's important. I think there's a lot to learn."
"So I thought, yeah, one day I might try to do the same thing. I'm really inspired by how Will (Smith) does it with his team."
"And with those two icons (Venus and Serena Williams), quite proud of them."

Smith won an Oscar for best actor for his role as the ambitious father of the Williams sisters, Richard - an award overshadowed by his slap on host Chris Rock during the Academy Awards.
Hamilton felt he had something in common with the film.
"Behind everyone who is successful there has always been someone and I feel the same way because I have such an amazing family without them I wouldn't be here today," Hamilton said.
"And I hope that at some stage, I'll be able to do something similar... I think it inspires families out there."
