Governor Of Central Sulawesi: Positive Cases Of COVID-19 Decreased Drastically
PALU - Central Sulawesi Governor Rusdy Mastura stated that the daily positive cases of COVID-19 in the region decreased drastically, while the recovery rate of COVID-19 positive patients increased significantly.
"The government of Central Sulawesi is still trying to improve the response to COVID-19 as best as possible to protect the public from the dangers of COVID-19," he said in Palu, as reported by Antara, Wednesday, April 6.
Based on data from Pusdatina COVID-19 on Tuesday, April 5, the daily positive cases of COVID-19 increased by 29 cases, bringing the cumulative number of COVID-19 cases in Central Sulawesi to 60,574 cases.
On Tuesday, April 5, 100 patients recovered from COVID-19, adding to the cumulative number of recovered patients to 58,305 patients.
Rusdy Mastura said that the response to COVID-19 must be accompanied by good synergy between the provincial, district/city, sub-district, and village/kelurahan governments.
"This synergy is to follow up on all regulations and directives from the central government related to the COVID-19 response, from the village to the provincial level," he said. He said the synergy was also carried out in building communal immunity from the dangers of COVID-19 through the COVID-19 vaccination approach.
Based on data from the Central Sulawesi Provincial Government's COVID-19 vaccination achievements as of March 28, 2022, 1,902,331 people or 89.1 percent have received a dose of COVID-19 vaccination, out of a total target of 2,135,907 people.
The Central Sulawesi Provincial Government also released that people who had received the second dose of vaccination were 1,126,628 people or 52.7 percent, while the third dose of vaccination was 68,524 people or 3.2 percent.
"This vaccination is important, this is a national program that must be followed up by local governments. So, this vaccination must be accompanied by innovations from each region," he said.
