Discotheque And Nightclub Activities Are Prohibited In Palangka Raya During Ramadan 2022
KALTENG - Night entertainment venues (THM), especially discotheques and nightclubs are prohibited from carrying out their activities during Ramadan 2022 or 1443 Hijri in Palangka Raya City. The operational arrangements for the entertainment venues are based on local city government policies.
"During the month of Ramadan, discotheques and nightclubs are not allowed to open. We also ask residents to always maintain tolerance, harmony and public order," said Palangka Raya Mayor Fairid Naparin, in Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan (Kalteng), Monday, April 4.
He explained that the policy in question was contained in the Palangka Raya Mayor's Circular No. 556.3/218/DPKKO-Par/III/2022, regarding the regulation of public entertainment businesses, restaurants/food stalls/drink stalls during the month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr. Fitri 1443 H/2022 M.
According to the circular, karaoke places, cafes, billiard games and similar entertainment venues are still allowed to open during Ramadan.
The provision is that the health protocol must be open until 22.30 p.m. and with a maximum capacity of 50 percent of the available rooms.
Then, during the month of Ramadan, karaoke, cafes, billiard games as well as restaurants, food stalls, restaurants, food and beverage stalls do not sell alcoholic beverages.
"Restaurant, restaurant and peace and beverage entrepreneurs do not open businesses openly, but do so in a limited way," Fairid said, as reported by Antara.

Fairid asked the Civil Service Police (Satpol PP) and related parties to periodically and continuously monitor and ensure that all arrangements made through the circular were carried out thoroughly.
"This is to ensure that people who perform fasting and other worship during Ramadan can carry out quietly, safely and comfortably," he said.
