Celebrating The 100th Version Of Google Chrome, Come Check Out The Latest Chromebook Features

JAKARTA- Chrome OS has finally reached its 100th version. The new release comes with a new design for the Chrome OS launcher meant to make it more intuitive and customizable for Chromebook users.

Google will completely update its operating system every four weeks or so. “Every Chrome OS update helps your laptop (and you) get things done faster, easier, and more securely,” said Director of Chrome OS Software, Alexander Kuscher via the Google blog, Wednesday, March 30.

To celebrate the release of the 100th version, Google is sharing several announcements to improve Chromebooks for everyone. Google Chrome will feature many new launches.

Now, you can also organize apps by name or color, or organize them manually in any order you like. When you download a new app, it will follow the same organizational style.

Furthermore, the browser will now show more information in the search preview. You can also quickly browse Chromebook shortcuts, like how to take a screenshot or turn on caps lock.

You'll notice that the launcher will open on the side of your screen instead of from the bottom on Google Chrome 100. Thus, it will leave more space for each window you have open.

Chrome browser version 100 will also make it easier for you to organize your browser window between multiple views using the multi-screen window placement API. This version will also start using fewer user agent strings. The user agent is the server's way of distinguishing between browsers.
