SERANG – The practice of packaging bulk cooking oil into premium packaged cooking oil which was recently dismantled by the Banten Police turned out to have a large scale in the distribution process. This was revealed by the Banten Police, who said that the arrest of the cooking oil mafia was only limited to operators.
The Head of Public Relations of the Banten Police, Commissioner-Police (Kombes Pol.) Shinto Silitonga, said the latest legal facts from the results of the investigation were that suspect AR (27) was the operator of the interests of large investors who became intellectual actors in the bulk cooking oil crime syndicate.
"Investigators have identified the intellectual actor above AR, and will immediately take legal action against the person concerned," explained Shinto Silitonga, through a written statement received today, Thursday, March 31.
Shinto explained that the order or Delivery Order (DO) of bulk oil to be repackaged at the processing site, is fully under the control of intellectual actors. After the bulk cooking oil arrives, AR's job is to package and distribute it.
"According to documentary evidence, intellectual actors have ordered 200 tons to the source of goods, but only 2 DO delivered as much as 40 tons came to the location on March 14, 2022, and has been packaged under the LABAN brand. And it has even been distributed to the market, bulk cooking oil The remainder was successfully confiscated by investigators in the form of 1.300 liters of LABAN brand packaging and in bulk form in torens of about 5 tons," he said.

Shinto added that the economic benefits that can be enjoyed by intellectual actors can reach IDR 250 million per month which is obtained from increasing the price of bulk cooking oil to premium packaged cooking oil.
"The suspect AR even gets a monthly salary of around IDR 10 million from the intellectual actor," concluded Shinto Silitonga.
