KNPI Feud That Ended In Peace
JAKARTA - The feud between top officials of the Indonesian Youth National Committee (KNPI) Umar Bonte, Ahmad Fauzan, and Fahd El Fouz Arafiq, has finally been resolved. The mutual reporting process that had been carried out led to peace.
This dispute was resolved after Umar Bonte and Fahd withdrew their respective reports to Metro Jaya Police.
At that time, Umar Bonte as the General Chair, and Ahmad Fauzan who was the Secretary-General of the KNPI made a report on the alleged beating and kidnapping.
Meanwhile, Fahd as the former General Chair of the KNPI reported that there were allegations of rising defamation and spreading false news.
"We thank General Chairman Fahd for forgiving us and we also apologize to him," Umar told reporters, Tuesday, March 29.
Not only apologizing, but Umar also realized that the feud between them was only part of the dynamics of the organization. Thus, the existing problems do not need to be extended.
"What has happened recently is an organizational dynamic and we really made a mistake," said Umar.
On the same occasion, Fahd said that he had forgiven everything that was done by Umar Bonte and Fauzan. Moreover, he had considered the two of them as brothers.
"If he apologizes, I still forgive. Today, although many people are angry, I came here but I said it was our brothers. If we are wrong, we will let you know," said Fahd.
As a solution to the problem, Fahd will withdraw the police report he had done. Where did he report Umar Bonte and Ahmad Fauzan for alleged defamation?
"So it's clear I forgive them, I will withdraw my report," said Fahd.

The beginning of the feud
The feud between the two parties began when Ahmad Fauzan had reported Fahd El Fouz Arafiq to the Metro Jaya Police. The report relates to acts of beatings and kidnappings.
Fauzan reported on Fahd on Sunday, March 20. The report is registered in the LP numbered LP/B/1439/III/2022/SPKT/Polda Metro Jaya.
However, Fahd, who did not accept the report, made a report back to the Metro Jaya Police. They are suspected of having carried out defamation and spreading false news.
"Reporting brothers Ahmad Fauzan and Umar Bonte for defamation through electronic media and false reports to the authorities and/or defamation and/or slander," said Fahd.
The allegation of defamation began when the two reported parties held an extraordinary congress. So, Fadh tried to find out about these activities.
Fahd also communicated with the two reported to ask them to come to his office. Umar Bonte and Ahmad Fauzan also came without coercion.
However, both of them said that Fahd had kidnapped him. In fact, under these conditions and circumstances, it was impossible for Fahd to kidnap the two reported persons.
"I was in the car when I kidnapped Umar Bonte, I was strangled. My man was driving himself. Behind him were Andreas and Umar Bonte's brothers," he said.
"If I kidnap him, the road is jammed, if I kidnap him, I abuse him, he just strangles me. His body is bigger than me. This is being politicized, they want to change my name," he continued.
With the accusation of the kidnappers, Fadh also reported the two. The report is registered with the number STTLP/B/1455/III/2022/SPKT/Metro Jaya Police.
