Police Arrest Three Youths Who Killed One Person During A Brawl In Palmerah, West Jakarta
JAKARTA - Three youths with the initials S, AR, and CH did not move when they were arrested by the West Jakarta Police Criminal Investigation Unit. The three were arrested for being involved in a crime over the death of one person in the Palmerah area, West Jakarta.
Deputy Head of the West Jakarta Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Commissioner of Police Niko Purba, said the suspect was arrested along with evidence in the form of sharp weapons.
"All of them were arrested in the Palmerah area," said Commissioner Niko when confirmed, Wednesday, March 30.
The three suspects were arrested after examining a number of eyewitnesses to the incident.
In addition, the investigation was also strengthened by CCTV camera footage around the scene.
"Based on the evidence and testimony of these witnesses, we finally succeeded in profiling the perpetrators," he said.
After that, the three suspects were arrested in the Palmerah area, West Jakarta.
"The three suspects were charged with Article 170 paragraph 2 to 3 of the Criminal Code regarding persecution with a threat of 12 years in prison," he said.

Previously, the brawl occurred when two groups of teenagers were involved in mocking each other on social media. The mockery led to a brawl that took place in the Palmerah area on Tuesday, March 15.
"The brawl took place at around 02.00 western Indonesia time. In the brawl, three suspects consisting of S, AR, and CH assaulted the victim with the initials RY," he said.
The victim's family then reported it to the West Jakarta Police Headquarters. After receiving the report, officers went to the hospital to check the truth of the death of the victim RY.
"The victim suffered several sharp weapon wounds on the body. The victim was taken to the hospital but the victim's life could not be saved," he concluded.
