Student Sport Motorcyclist Who Died After A Scuffle With Bajaj Across From Anies's Office Turned Out To Be A Pamulang Resident

JAKARTA - The Traffic Unit Laka Unit (Satlantas) of the Central Jakarta Metro Police continues to investigate the death of a motorsport rider numbered B 6747 WZA on Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, exactly opposite the DKI Jakarta City Hall Building, Gambir, Central Jakarta, Sunday 27 March .

From the results of the police investigation, the victim was identified with the initials MATW (19) a student. The incident occurred at around 09.30 WIB. That afternoon, the victim drove from the fountain roundabout of the Arjuna Wiwaha Horse Statue, Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, Central Jakarta.

Arriving in front of the City Hall, there was a scuffle between the motorbike driven by the victim and a Bajay whose license plate and the police officer were not yet known.

The motor sport that the victim was driving with Bajay was traveling from the same direction, namely from West to East on Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, Gambir. Then there was a collision with Bajay.

As a result of the accident, the victim suffered injuries to the head, nose and ears bleeding and bruises on the stomach. From the victim's identity, MATW was recorded as a resident of Pondok Cabe, Pamulang, South Tangerang.

The Head of the Traffic Unit (Kasatlantas) of the Central Jakarta Metro Police Kompol Purwanta confirmed the incident. Currently, the victim's body has been taken to the mortuary of the RSCM Jakarta.

"The driver of the bajaj fled, his identity is not yet known. Currently, it is still in the process of being investigated," said Kompol Purwanta when contacted by VOI, Sunday, March 27.

Police confiscated evidence of vehicle registration, driver's license and the victim's motorbike. Central Jakarta Metro Police Satlantas officers have also conducted a crime scene (TKP).

"We are still looking for witnesses and making sketches of the incident. The victim has been taken to the RSCM. The case is still being handled by the Central Jakarta Police Traffic Unit," he said.
