COVID-19 Update As Of March 25: 4.857 New Cases, 14.710 Recovered Patients

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 144.207 specimens were examined with the results of 4.857 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 5.991.687 people and active cases have fallen by 9.973 to 146.004 cases," said Ministry of Health data, Friday, March 25.

Today's recovered cases increased by 14.710 cases, bringing the total to 5.691.220 recovered people. Then, 154.463 positive confirmations died 120 and a total of 154.343 people.

The province with the highest new cases was in West Java with 1.125 cases and a total of 1.094.140 cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with 890 new cases with a total of 1.233.401 cases. Central Java has 501 new cases and a total of 621.755 cases. Then, Banten with 338 new cases and a total of 287.317 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to West Java with an additional 3,089 recovered cases. Followed by DI Yogyakarta with an additional 2.799 recovered cases, DKI Jakarta with an additional 1.647 recovered cases, and Central Java with an additional 1.105 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 91.179.923.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week was 9.24 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 7.875 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

So far, 195.533.337 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 156.636.335 people have received the second dose of vaccination. While the third dose of vaccination was 18.393.956. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208.265.720 people.
