Sandiaga Uno Says MSMEs Are Indonesia's Differentiator With Other Countries Facing The Pandemic

JAKARTA - The world economy collapsed when dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. Indonesia was also hit by the impact but managed to rise again.

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), for the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno, is a determining factor. The new economic order is even said to be in favor of MSMEs.

"MSMEs have proven they can generate the economy and create jobs," said Sandiaga at Parapat Free Beach, Lake Toba, North Sumatra (North Sumatra) in a press release from the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Thursday, March 24.

SMEs are expected to quickly adapt as well as innovate on creative products. This is in order to keep up with new market developments by utilizing digital platforms or social media as a marketing strategy effort.

“This proves that the economic revival is supported by MSMEs, because (through) MSMEs create 97 percent of job opportunities. And that's what we create for the economy," he said.

"Continue to improve from coaching to marketing, we make sure there is also access to financing. I see, the products are super cool, I salute them, I admit them as the best work we have from Lake Toba," said the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy.
