Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Reviewed The Development Of 173 Housing Units For Seroja Victims

KUPANG - Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (Menko PMK) Muhadjir Effendy reviewed the progress of the construction of 173 housing units for victims of the tropical Cyclone Seroja natural disaster that occurred in early April 2021.

"So these houses were built for those who were really affected whose houses were destroyed. This will be for them later," he said while reviewing the construction of houses for victims of the tropical cyclone Seroja in Manulai II Village, Alak District, Kupang City, Wednesday, March 23.

He said that there were 173 units built for victims of the tropical cyclone seroja natural disaster. The amount is not in one plot of land but separately.

The first field has 66 housing units built, then the second area is 52 units, the third area is 45 units and the fourth area is 10 housing units.

The Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture explained that the physical construction of the house that was being built was 100 percent complete, it was just a matter of finishing or tidying it up again.

Effendy added that the type 36 house was built with Simple Healthy Instant Home (Risha) technology so that it is resistant to earthquakes.

"This house was built so that it can withstand earthquakes," he added, quoted by Antara.

As monitored by ANTARA, Effendy saw firsthand the condition of the houses being built. The Coordinating Minister entered the house and checked the construction of the houses being built.

The purpose of checking is whether the water entering the housing complex for the seroja victims is already running or not. Not only that, checking the water reservoirs that are prepared for every house built in that location.

Effendy ordered that the construction of the house and the finishing of the house that had been built should be completed immediately so that it could be handed over to the Kupang City government to manage it.

The Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture hopes that in April next month some of the residents who have met the requirements can immediately occupy the new house.
