DJI Delivers Advanced Drone Black Box Boeing 737-800 MU5737
JAKARTA - The joint team is racing against time to determine the position of the black box Boeing 737-800 belonging to China Eastern Airlines containing 132 passengers and crew, which crashed in the mountains of southern Guangxi.
DJI Technology sent an emergency drone team to the site on Monday, March 21 to assist with aerial drone surveys, the Global Times reported, citing an official company statement.
The drone is equipped with night vision and infrared which can record images or videos even in poor vision conditions. The results can be a reference for the decision-making of the rescue team.
If the black box can be found immediately, the team will immediately find out what really happened in the accident.
An official from China Eastern Airlines said it had been in contact with the families of all passengers and crew on board within 24 hours of the crash. A team of more than 160 experts have been dispatched to offer assistance to the families.
Yishang Hotel in Tengxian of Guangxi vacated all 109 rooms on Tuesday to accept family members and psychologists who came from across the country. This hotel is closed to other customers.
Several other hotels were requested as designated hotels for family members. The victim's family of passengers arrived in Wuzhou, accompanied by a special team sent by Eastern Airlines.
The accident brought disaster to many families. On Tuesday, Dinglong Culture, an internet media, and entertainment company, said its chief financial officer, aged 30, boarded the plane.

China People magazine published an online story with interviews with family members and friends of some of the passengers and flight attendants on board, which was widely reposted on the Chinese internet.
A passenger named Liu, a frequent flyer on flight MU5735, had just received his wedding photos the day before he boarded the plane. He and his wife have not had time to hold a wedding party.
No survivors from the crash of China Eastern flight MU5735 were found 30 hours after the crash, and the cause of the crash was not yet known, Chinese officials said late Tuesday.
