The Trend Of COVID-19 Cases In Kupang City Begins To Decrease

KUPANG - Positive cases of COVID-19 in Kupang City, East Nusa Tenggara Province continued to decline with fewer positive COVID-19 patients undergoing medical treatment until 569 people remained from the previous 3,300 people being treated for exposure to the Coronavirus.

"If you look at the data on COVID-19 patients being treated, it has decreased in the past two weeks," said a spokesman for the Kupang City COVID-19 Task Force, Ernest Ludji in Kupang, Tuesday, March 22.

He explained that there are currently 569 COVID-19 positive patients who are still under medical treatment in Kupang City, from the previous 3,300 people being treated for COVID-19 in early March 2022.

According to him, the high number of recoveries is because COVID-19 patients are very disciplined in carrying out self-isolation at home and in hospitals.

"We hope that the 569 positive COVID-19 patients who are still being treated can recover soon," he said, quoted by Antara.

He also added that the addition of active COVID-19 cases in Kupang City had also begun to decline.

The addition of active COVID-19 cases today only reached 26 cases from the previous addition of around 200-300 positive active cases of COVID-19/day in early March 2022.

He said the total active cases of COVID-19 in Kupang City reached 22.461 people with a total recovery of 21.538 people and 569 people were still being treated.

Ernest Ludji said there were three additional cases of death due to exposure to the Coronavirus in NTT to 360 people from the previous 357 people.
