Conglomerate Anthony Salim's Bimoli Cooking Oil Price Reaches IDR 24,000 Per Liter In Ambon
JAKARTA - The Head of the Industry and Trade Office (Kadisperindag) of Ambon City, Maluku Sirjohn Slarmanat said, he would open a cheap market in order to welcome the month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 1443 Hijri in Ambon City.
Cheap markets will be opened at two points in Ambon City, including Air Kuning, Sirimau District and Waiheru Village, Baguala District.
"So we, the city government will continue to carry out market operations, in this case the cheap market to welcome religious holidays," said Head of the Ambon City Industry and Trade Service, Sirjohn Slarmanat, in Ambon, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, March 22.
He said, this cheap market is intended for people who really need it, and not for employees.
"This is what our community needs, in particular, to prepare for these big religious holidays," he said.
This is associated with the increase in the prices of several basic commodities in the market, he continued, such as cooking oil, chicken eggs, cayenne pepper, and beef.
"For Bimoli, the lowest price is IDR 22 thousand and the highest price is IDR 24 thousand. This price is still within the standard according to market mechanisms, and now we are anticipating the price of beef and cayenne pepper as well," he said.
According to him, the current price of beef is still IDR 115 thousand, the lowest, and IDR 120 thousand per kg thousand, the highest.
"Later, we will also coordinate with related agencies, maybe related to the availability of meat on the holiday, it must at least be maintained," he explained.

He also admitted that the price of chicken eggs has shifted slightly, which is now the highest position is IDR 1.900/point from the lowest price of IDR 1.700.
"So we also need to maintain this so that price stability is guaranteed," he said.
Then, he continued, cayenne pepper is also still quite expensive, because the lowest price is IDR 80 thousand, the lowest, and the highest price is IDR 100 thousand per kilo.
"So chili is also a common problem as well. Is it possible from chili farmers or is there really a season," he said.
He hopes, there is good cooperation from distributors and business actors not to do things that harm other people.
"There should not be hoarding of basic needs because if proven to have hoarded, the punishment will be imposed in accordance with the applicable law," he stressed.
