North Sumatra Police Set 8 Suspects In Deadly Cage Case At Langkat Regent's House Publish Plan To Warn The Winds
MEDAN - Investigators from the General Crime Directorate (Dit Reskrimum) of the North Sumatra Police have named 8 suspects in the human cage case at the Langkat regent's house. This human cage made a number of people's lives lost due to torture.
The Head of Public Relations of the North Sumatran Police, Kombes Hadi Wahyudi, said that the eight people were named suspects based on the results of the case conducted by the investigation team of the Directorate of Criminal Investigation.
"The results of the investigation of the Ditreskrimum investigator on Monday, March 21 regarding the detention of the Regent of Inactive TRP, the North Sumatra Police have named 8 suspects," said Kombes Hadi, Monday, March 21.
Kombes Hadi said that the eight suspects were HS, IS, TS, RG, JS, DP, SP and HG. Of the total suspects, 7 of them namely HS, IS, TS, RG, JS, DP and HG were the perpetrators who died in the TIP process.
"Against the 7 suspects, namely HS, IS, TS, RG, JS, DP and HG, they are charged with Article 7 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 21/2007 concerning the eradication of the criminal act of trafficking in persons with a penalty of 15 years plus a third of the principal threat," he explained.
Meanwhile, he said, the suspects that SP and TS were holders of TIP would be subject to Article 2 of Law No. 21/2007 of the Republic of Indonesia. The threat of punishment, said Kombes Hadi, is a maximum of 15 years in prison.
"The suspect with the initials TS was charged in these 2 cases," he explained.
He asserted, North Sumatra Police are still continuing to explore and develop the case.
"Although the determination of the suspect from the results of this investigation already exists," he said.
