FA Cup Semifinals: Liverpool Vs City, Chelsea Faces Crystal Palace

JAKARTA - The FA Cup quarter-finals have been completed, there are four who managed to secure a step towards the semifinals which will take place on Saturday, April 16.

The first team to be confirmed for the semifinals was Liverpool. Jurgen Klopp's team qualified for the semifinals after winning 1-0 over Nottingham Forest thanks to a Diogo Jota goal in the second half at the City Ground Stadium, Monday, March 21.

In the semifinals later, Liverpool will face their strong competitor, Manchester City. The Citizens will challenge the Reds who secured a 4-1 victory over Southampton 4-1 in the match on Sunday, March 20.

This meeting between Liverpool and Manchester City means the two teams will face each other in two consecutive weekends. The reason is, on April 10, 2022, they will also clash in the Premier League.

Therefore, the match is expected to be the hottest duel in the FA Cup semifinals. Liverpool, who lifted the League Cup trophy last month, also has the chance to lift the FA Cup, Champions League, and Premier League.

The Reds can appear confident because they have a great opportunity to wipe out these titles. In the Premier League, Liverpool is also involved in a tough competition with Man City.

Liverpool now sits in second place with only one point adrift of Manchester City at the top of the standings. Therefore, the match at the end of the season will be the final for both teams.

In addition to the fierce match between Liverpool and Manchester City, the FA Cup semifinal will also feature a clash between Chelsea and Crystal Palace.

In the midst of the club's difficult situation, Chelsea was able to prove their full concentration on the field by winning tickets to the semifinals.
