Fadli Zon Advises Luhut Not To Use Any Means To Oppose The Constitution
JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan is reluctant to disclose data to the public regarding big data, 110 million people in the media want the election to be postponed. Luhut emphasized that the data was true and he was not making it up.
Luhut's statement was highlighted by a member of the Gerindra faction, Fadli Zon, who questioned why such important data could not be made public.
"Why can't big data be opened to the public? There must be accountability to the public for the 110 million claim," in his Twitter account @fadlizon, as monitored by Voi.id, Wednesday, March 16.
Fadli Zon also advised Luhut not to justify any means to go against the constitution regarding the holding of elections.
"Don't justify any means to go against the constitution," he said.
Previously, Luhut's statement regarding the postponement of the election that used the names of the people received strong satire from several parties, one of which was PDIP.
Secretary-General of the PDI-P Hasto Kristiyanto questioned the capacity of the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, who often discussed the issue of the 2024 General Election.
He reminded all ministers that they should follow President Joko Widodo's (Jokowi) directions on this issue. They were asked not to have a different opinion about the 2024 election.
"In my opinion, Mr. Luhut should clarify, what capacity is he speaking in? Because when it comes to politics, law, and security, that is the realm of the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs. When it comes to democratic politics, governance structure, it's the Minister of Home Affairs," said Hasto in a written statement, Monday, 14 March.
VOIR éGALEMENT:
According to him, Luhut must be held accountable for his statement and should speak according to his main duties and functions. Moreover, he currently holds the position of minister.
Moreover, Luhut's claim about big data that records that people want the 2024 election to be postponed should be used for more useful things. For example, solving the problem of scarcity of cooking oil and rising prices of basic necessities.
"He must be responsible for the statement academically so that this does not divide. Because being an assistant to the president, he must focus on his duties, according to the mandate given. What is his mandate in conveying this and this is different from the statement by the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs," he stressed.
