COVID-19 Update As Of March 11: 16,110 New Cases From Examination Of 222,501 Specimens

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 222,501 specimens were examined with the results of 16,110 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 5,864,040 people and active cases have decreased by 23,392 to 376,461 cases", said Ministry of Health data, Friday, March 11.

Today's recovered cases increased by 39,212 cases, bringing the total to 5,335,846 recovered people. Then, there were 250 confirmed positive cases and a total of 151,703 people.

The province with the highest new cases was in West Java with 3,750 cases and a total of 1,066,978 cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with 2,548 new cases with a total of 1,214,021 cases. Central Java has 1,721 new cases and a total of 607,676 cases. Then, East Java with 1,394 new cases and a total of 562,922 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to West Java with an additional 11,984 recovered cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with an additional 5,600 recovered cases, Central Java with an additional 3,079 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 2,507 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 88,699,489.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 15.47 percent", it wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 13,944 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

To date, 193,014,314 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 450,280,634 people have received the second dose of vaccination.

While the third dose of vaccination was 14,03,132. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
