COVID-19 Update As Of March 9: 26.336 New Cases, 417.219 Active Cases
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 326.747 specimens were examined with the results of 26.336 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulated positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 5.826.589 people and active cases have fallen by 5.673 to 417.219 cases," said Ministry of Health data, Wednesday, March 9.
Today's recovered cases increased by 31.705 cases, bringing the total to 5.258.235 people recovered. Then, there were 304 confirmed cases who died and a total of 151.135 people.
The province with the highest new cases was in West Java with 5.578 cases and a total of 1.058.652 cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with 3.872 new cases with a total of 1.207.927 cases. Central Java has 3.126 new cases and a total of 603.313 cases. Then, East Java with 2.245 new cases and a total of 559.953 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to West Java with an additional 6.210 recovered cases. Followed by Central Java with an additional 4.226 recovered cases, DKI Jakarta with an additional 3.701 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 3.053 recovered cases.
In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 88.218.970.
"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 15.47 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 23.729 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
To date, 192.412.684 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 148.989.922 people have received the second dose of vaccination.
While the third dose of vaccination was 13.163.845. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208.265.720 people.
