Anies' Reason For Appealing The Administrative Court's Decision Regarding Dredging Of Mampang River, Calls The Judge's Consideration Less Accurate
JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan has filed an appeal against the decision of the Jakarta State Administrative Court (PTUN) regarding the dredging of the Mampang River.
In this case, the Jakarta Administrative Court has punished Anies who lost the lawsuit by ordering him to completely dredge the Mampang River. This lawsuit was filed by residents of the Mampang River flood victims.
The head of the DKI Jakarta Legal Bureau explained that Anies had filed an appeal because he considered the judges' considerations in issuing a decision regarding the dredging of the Mampang River to be inaccurate.
"We are submitting an appeal because in some cases there are considerations of the PTUN judges which in our opinion are not very careful, so they need to be reviewed in the appeal process", Yayan said in a short message, Wednesday, March 9.
According to Yayan, the PTUN panel of judges, in their decision, one of them did not consider the dredging work of the Mampang River, which was partly done by the DKI Provincial Government before the decision was issued.
"What needs to be reviewed is, among others, looking at the documents we have submitted regarding the implementation of river dredging in several locations that have been completed and other flood management activities that have not been considered by the PTUN judges.
Initially, this lawsuit was filed by seven residents last August 2021. The residents included Tri Andarsanti Pursita, Jeanny Lamtiur Simanjuntak, Gunawan Wibisono, Yusnelly Suryadi D, Shanty Widhiyanti, Virza Syafaat Sasmitawidjaja, and Indra. They are residents of Jakarta who became victims of floods in early 2021.
Finally, in mid-February 2022, the Jakarta Administrative Court granted some of the claims of the residents of the Mampang River flood victims. This is stated in the lawsuit with case number 205/G/TF/2021/PTUN.JKT.
