PCR-antigen Is No Longer Required, This Is The Latest Regulation For Train Passengers
JAKARTA - The government has abolished the RT PCR test and rapid antigen test as a requirement for domestic or domestic travel on all modes of transportation.
The abolition of the requirement for a negative COVID-19 test result applies to customers who have undergone two doses of vaccination. This policy also applies to long-distance trains starting today.
"Starting from March 9, 2022, long-distance train customers who have received the second or third dose of vaccination are not required to show a negative result of the RT-PCR or Antigen Rapid Test during the boarding process," said VP of Public Relations of KAI Joni Martinus in his statement, Wednesday, March 9.
Joni revealed, the regulation was adjusted to the issuance of the Ministry of Transportation's circular (SE) No. 25 of 2022 concerning Guidelines for the Implementation of Domestic Travel by Rail Transportation during the COVID-19 Pandemic Period on March 8, 2022.
Then, the latest requirement to take the latest long-distance train is that the customer has been vaccinated against COVID-19 at least the second dose. To validate customer vaccination data, KAI has integrated the KAI ticketing system with the PeduliLindungi application.
"As a result, the customer's vaccination data can be directly known by KAI when ordering tickets through KAI Access, the KAI website, and at boarding," said Joni.
Then, if customers have just been vaccinated with the first dose, and have not been vaccinated for medical reasons, they still have to include a certificate of negative rapid antigen test results a maximum of 1x24 hours or RT-PCR 3x24 hours before the scheduled departure. Customers who have not been vaccinated with certain medical conditions are also required to include a certificate from a government hospital.

Furthermore, the requirements for customers under the age of 6 years must be accompanied by parents and apply strict health protocols.
"Customers who do not complete the requirements as well as customers who have been vaccinated but are positive for COVID-19 within the past 14 days, are not allowed to travel and are welcome to cancel their tickets," said Joni.
Currently, the long-distance train transport capacity has reached 100 percent. However, customers are still required to comply with health protocols in a disciplined manner when using train services.
Customers are required to wear masks, wash hands with soap in running water, maintain distance, stay away from crowds, reduce mobility, avoid eating together, and use hand sanitizer.
