PONTIANAK - The West Kalimantan High Prosecutor's Office has detained AF, a suspect in the alleged corruption case of a bank in the Ketapang area with state financial losses of around IDR 6.1 billion.

"The detention of suspect AF is based on an Investigation Order Number: Print-07/0.1/Fd.1/03/2022 dated March 8, 2022, and investigators have also pocketed two sufficient pieces of evidence," said Head of the West Kalimantan Prosecutor's Office, Masyhudi, in Pontianak. , reported by Antara, Tuesday, March 8.

He explained that the suspect AF was detained for the next 20 days from March 8 to 27, 2022 at the Class II A detention center in Pontianak.

Suspect AF in the state-owned bank as a "customer service". The disclosure of this case is the result of a collaboration between the West Kalimantan Attorney General's Office and one of the state-owned banks, starting with information from the Micro Marketing Assistant Manager (AMPM), on January 31, 2022, the bank was in a state of loss, even though under the assumption that the bank should be in profit and there is a abnormal balance anomaly in the credit interest income account of NP Kupedes-Ph3 AC and income from non-program fines or penalties.

As a result of the actions of the suspect AF, it resulted in state financial losses of around Rp. 6.1 billion. 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended and added to the Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 20 of 2001 concerning amendments to the Republic of Indonesia Law no. 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption, the punishment for which is a minimum of four years and a maximum of 20 years, and a fine of at least Rp. 200 million rupiah and a maximum of Rp. 1 billion.

"This investigation will continue to reveal whether there are other people cooperating with the suspect," he said.
