Kemenparekraf Holds Short Film Media Studies In Mandalika

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy held the AKSILARASI (Action in Harmony Synergy) Short Film Media Studies in Mandalika, West Nusa Tenggara, from 3 to 5 March 2022.

This activity is made so that Indonesian films can be competitive, as well as produce creative products that can support selected tourism destinations so that a creative economic ecosystem can be formed to support the revival of the national economy.

Director of Music, Film and Animation of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Mohammad Amin, in his statement on Sunday said that this Film Media Study Workshop was the second incubation in the AKSILARASI Film Subsector program in Mandalika, where in 2021 the first stage of incubation was carried out in the form of short film production which created by selected local communities.

"In 2021, the ACSILARATION of the Film Subsector has been carried out in 4 Super Priority Destinations (Mandalika, Labuan Bajo, Borobudur, and Lake Toba), which produce short films from each regional film community," Amin said as quoted by Antara.

Entering the second year of the ACSILARATION of the Film Subsector, the Short Film Media Study ACCILARATION Workshop was held in Mandalika, which was attended by representatives from the film community from Mandalika, Labuan Bajo, Borobudur, and Lake Toba as a follow-up to the program for product improvement.

AKSILARASI is an Assistance Program for the Creation and Utilization of Superior Creative Products in Super Priority Destinations, one of which is Mandalika. It is hoped that these featured creative products will fill the creative spaces in DSP which are carried out by creative actors who are accompanied by them.

The Sub-Coordinator of the Film Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Mauliandini Nur Noviasri, added that in this second incubation stage, participants will gain an understanding of media studies.

"So that later they will be able to understand the concept and purpose of creating works in the production process of a film," said Mauliandini.
