Jambi Governor Asks People To Pay Attention To Minister Of Religion Circular Regarding Mosque Loudspeakers

JAMBI - Jambi Governor Al Haris asked the public to pay close attention to the Circular of the Minister of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia which regulates the use of loudspeakers in places of worship.

"Reviewing the contents of the circular letter from the Minister of Religion, I hope that each region can adapt to the conditions and situations in their respective regions," said Al Haris in Jambi, Tuesday, March 1.

Al Haris explained that these regulations were intended and understood by the environmental and religious conditions around each region.

If the circular letter is understood by observing the conditions of religious diversity in each region and the community environment, it will not be a problem.

According to Al Haris, in the Jambi Province there are no problems related to the Circular from the Ministry of Religion.

"In normative Jambi, Jambi is a religious religion, I think there is no problem," said Al Haris.

Meanwhile, the Jambi Province Coordination of Terrorism Prevention Forum (FKPT) asked the public to remain calm in responding to the statement by the Minister of Religion Yaqut Cholil Qoumas regarding the regulation of the use of loudspeakers in the house of worship.

The chairman of the Jambi Province FKPT, Asad Isma, said that if you look closely, there are two things that can be interpreted from the statement of the Minister of Religion. Namely, there is no prohibition on the use of loudspeakers in mosques or prayer rooms in the context of religious symbols.

"Then there is no intention of the minister of religion to compare the call to prayer with other voices, but the context discussed is only to increase community harmony," said Asad Isma.

The Jambi community is expected not to be carried away by the current that can cause polemics in the community. And it is hoped that you will remain calm because the actual settings for using the loudspeaker are not a problem.
