West Pasaman Earthquake: One Toddler Injured By A Ceiling Of A House, 7 Damaged Buildings In Agam, West Sumatra
LUBUKBASUNG - An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 that occurred in the northeastern region of West Pasaman Regency on Friday at 08.39 WIB had an impact on the Agam Regency, West Sumatra, causing one toddler to be injured and seven buildings damaged.
The head of the Agam Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Muhammad Lutfi Ar, said the earthquake caused a 2.5-year-old child to be injured when his head was hit by a collapsed house ceiling in Nagari Salareh Aia, Palembayan District.
"The victim who was seriously injured is Nofa, a resident of the PT Perkebunan Palalu Raya housing estate, Nagari Salareh Aia, Palembayan sub-district", he said, quoted by Antara on Friday, February 24.
According to Lutfi, the child has already received medical treatment at the public health center and has been allowed to be brought home by his parents because his condition has improved.

In addition, the BPBD of Agam Regency said the earthquake also caused damage to one house in Palembayan District and six elementary school buildings in Ampeknagari and Palupuh Districts.
Muhammad Lutfi detailed that the earthquake caused damage to two school buildings in Ampeknagari District and four school buildings in Palupuh District.
"We are currently assessing the material losses due to the damage to the six buildings", he said.
