Answering The Doubts Of The Chairman Of The DKI DPRD, Sahroni: Don't Equate The Formula E Circuit With Formula 1
JAKARTA - Chief Executive of Formula E, Ahmad Sahroni, asked all parties not to equate the circuit form and the asphalting system of Formula E with Formula 1.
This is in response to the doubts of several parties, including the Chairman of the DKI Regional House of Representatives (DPRD), Prasetyo Edi Marsudi, regarding the construction of the Formula E circuit which only lasted for 3 months.
"Don't equate the Formula E circuit with F1, it's definitely different. Because it's definitely different, so don't miss information, how technically the two races are, yes. That's one Formula E, one Formula 1", said Sahroni when met at the circuit construction site, Ancol, North Jakarta, Wednesday, February 23.
Regarding the construction time, Sahroni claimed that the Formula E circuit built by the BUMD PT Jaya Konstruksi was carried out 24 hours per day. The construction of this track is targeted to be completed within 54 days.
Therefore, Sahroni admitted that the executor asked Jaya Konstruksi to increase the number of workers working on the construction of this circuit to speed up the work.
"I also ask the contractor to add more people to carry out the construction on this circuit", said Sahroni.
Previously, the chairman of the DKI DPRD, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi, doubted the quality of the Formula E circuit, which was built in just 3 months, from February to April.
As a person who is involved in the world of racing, the Formula E track is like Formula 1 which needs to be built in about half a year. In fact, the time of this work is also targeted at soil that does not need to be hardened.

Meanwhile, the location of the Formula E circuit in North Jakarta is a former mud disposal area, where there must be hardening before asphalting. It is feared, if the construction of the circuit is carried out in a hurry, it will easily lead to accidents.
"This is Formula E, indeed the size is the same as Formula 1, it's almost the same. There it uses an engine, here it uses electricity. If the asphalt suddenly doesn't ripen, then by running at 250 kilometers per hour he brakes, the asphalt comes out, it reverses", said Prasetyo in the Total Politics YouTube show.
After the Formula E circuit is built, there will be a first check and trial from Formula E Operation (FEO) as the license holder of Formula E. If later the Formula E circuit is not approved, then Prasetyo considers the budget that has been spent to be in vain.
"We don't know if FEO and FIA are okay, right? because we still have to get approval again. If suddenly it's not approved? Another loss to the state, boss!", he said.
