Organically Expanding And Acquiring, Bunda Hospital Manager Takes Aggressive Steps
JAKARTA - The manager of Bunda hospital, PT Bundamedik Tbk (BMHS) is ready to grow more aggressively in 2022 by organically expanding and acquiring. This step was taken by the company to respond to the development of community needs for quality and reliable health services.
"This includes deepening cooperation with existing strategic partners," said Bundamedik President Commissioner Ivan Sini in his statement, Wednesday, February 23.
With an aggressive and adaptive growth strategy, the company was able to demonstrate a resilient business performance in all its main business lines during 2021. BMHS' non-COVID business growth was able to grow 26 percent, with an increase in the number of beds by 40 percent.
During 2021, the national expansion will also be intensively carried out through the acquisition of hospitals and clinics, including the acquisition of Morula IVF Surabaya.
Ivan said this acquisition would further strengthen Morula IVF Indonesia's position as one of the company's leading businesses, which has received tremendous interest from people from all over Indonesia with a market share of nearly 50 percent.
"In addition to strengthening our core business, this acquisition is expected to be a driving force for the progress of Morula IVF services in East Java. Morula IVF has currently processed 5.855 cycles, the highest in its history," said Ivan.

In addition to the acquisition, the company is also expanding its reach by opening clinics and hospitals in other cities such as Palembang and Denpasar. Overall, the number of clinics in the BMHS ecosystem has doubled compared to 2020.
Not only that, but Bundamedik also expands the ecosystem through strategic collaborations with Smart Clinics and 102 Indonesian Fertility Clinics (KFI). The opening of KFI will contribute significantly to help expand the reach of BMHS to 147.8 million people in 10 provinces in Indonesia.
Ivan added, strengthening business cores through the development of digitizing services such as robotic surgery at Bunda General Hospital will also still be the focus of the company in 2021, in order to support the company's competitiveness in the midst of the development of industry 4.0 and the current high adoption of digital society.
"Investment in the digital ecosystem will continue to be increased and become one of the company's strategic initiatives in driving growth," concluded Ivan.
The expansion of robot surgery innovation at Bunda Hospital is in line with the increasing demand for these procedures by patients in Indonesia, generally due to shorter operations and faster healing times.
