Losses Of Fictitious Online Arisan Victims In Banjarmasin With Police Wife Suspect Reaches IDR 8.7 Billion

BANJARMASIN - The police are continuing to investigate the case of a fictitious online social gathering managed by an unscrupulous member of Bhayangkari, which until now has recorded a loss of Rp. 8.7 billion for victims.

"Last update, an additional 270 victims reported, so now the loss is estimated at Rp. 8.7 billion," said Head of Public Relations of the South Kalimantan Police, Kombes Mochamad Rifa'i in Banjarmasin, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, February 22.

The day before, the police said there were 126 online social gathering participants who were victims with an estimated loss of Rp. 2.7 billion.

As the case was revealed, with the appointment of a resident of Jalan Pramuka, Banjarmasin City as a suspect and detained by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Banjarmasin Police, other victims continued to arrive to report.

Investigators are still searching for the suspect's assets, including securities, immovable and immovable objects.

Rifa'i ensured that the handling of the case was carried out professionally and thoroughly according to the direction of the South Kalimantan Police Chief Inspector General Pol Rikwanto.

It is known that RA is the wife of a member of the Banjarmasin Police. Even the husband is also being investigated whether he was involved in the case.

RA became a suspect after his victim reported that he was deceived by a fictitious online social gathering mode through his Instagram social media account. The victims were promised huge profits of up to 30 percent of the money deposited.
