Avanza Kills A Coffee Seller Cart Near Pulogadung Terminal, Three People Injured
JAKARTA - An Avanza car with license plate number B 2436 TZW hit three people on Jalan Raya Bekasi, near the Pulogadung terminal, East Jakarta, Monday, February 14, evening.
Head of East Jakarta Traffic Unit Laka, Iptu Seno said, the car driven by Mardiyanto (42) hit three residents who were sitting drinking coffee and a street vendor cart (PKL).
The incident began when the car traveling from the south to the north lost control while crossing Jalan Raya Bekasi KM 19 near the Pulogadung Transjakarta bus stop.
"He hit a person who was sitting drinking coffee, then hit a street vendor's cart and a two-wheeled vehicle that was parked," said Iptu Seno when contacted, Tuesday, February 15.
The strong impact resulted in the victim Dicky Kamil (31) suffering injuries to his left head, cheek, and right hand. Victim Trimidi (57) was injured in the left leg, left hand, head, and left cheek.
Meanwhile, Yarmon (57) suffered injuries to his right leg, waist and right hand.
Now the three are undergoing medical treatment at the Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM) in Central Jakarta.
"It is suspected that the driver lacked concentration and was sleepy so he lost control and crashed. The driver of the car is currently being held at the East Jakarta Traffic Unit," he said.
The East Jakarta Traffic Unit Laka Unit has conducted a crime scene investigation and secured the car driven by Mardiyanto and a motorbike that was hit as evidence.
Now investigators of the East Jakarta Traffic Unit Laka Unit are in the process of examining Mardiyanto to determine why he hit the three victims who are still registered residents of East Jakarta.
