General Andika Perkasa's Hope For 268 Candidates Of Career Officers Who Pass The Test
JAKARTA - The Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) General Andika Perkasa hopes that the 268 career officer candidates, who have passed the tests to the final stages of selection, can become the next generation and professional TNI leaders according to their respective scientific fields.
Andika conveyed this hope after determining the graduation of 268 career officer candidates for the 2021 fiscal year, as broadcast on General TNI Andika Perkasa's Youtube channel in Jakarta, Monday.
The results of the assessment session of the final determination committee (pantukhir) for the selection of career officers for the 2021 Fiscal Year determined 268 participants as the first education students of TNI career officers.
Of the 268 participants who passed the pantukhir trial, 140 of them were Army career officer students, 45 Navy officers, and 83 others were Air Force career officer students.
Andika directly chaired the final hearing at the Lily Rochli Building, Magelang Military Academy, Central Java last week.
In the trial which lasted for approximately one hour, Andika observed firsthand the candidates for career officers who took part in the pantukhir selection. He also actively asked about the reasons why some participants passed and didn't.
Also accompanying Andika in the review was the Head of the TNI Health Center, Major General TNI dr. Budiman, Sp.BP-RE(K), MARS
Meanwhile, some participants who did not pass the final selection were due to health reasons, such as blood pressure that was too high above the standard.
"Why not the (participant) number 123 (passed)?" Andika asked Budiman during the pantukhir hearing reported by Antara, Monday, February 14.
Budiman also explained that the participants' blood pressure did not meet the requirements.
"Please allow me, the blood pressure has been measured repeatedly, the Commander's height. The pulse is 112 times. This does not meet the requirements," said Budiman.

Andika then agreed with Budiman's assessment, because according to the physical condition and health of prospective TNI career officers, they must be excellent.
After discussing with the entire central selection committee, the Commander in Chief closed the pantukhir session.
"There is no need for parades, this is a decision," Andika said when closing the trial.
Participants in the selection of TNI career officers for the 2021 Fiscal Year are undergraduate and diploma IV graduates, some of whom have a general medical education background.
